the weather these days is damn shiok. i can actually survive in my room without turning on the fan or aircon. it's even more shiok over at my grandparents' place. the other night when i stayed over, they warned me not to open both the window and the door because i'll just freeze to death through the night. thinking they were exaggerating, i opened just 3 inches of the sliding window and booooy, it was freezing cold lah! the wind kept howling through the night but i was too lazy to get up and close the window.

anyway, i hope the cool weather lasts. but i doubt.

was supposed to swim with dee today but both of us got lazy heh. it was so nice and cold, perfect to laze around in bed. was woken up by ly's sms instead: "aaahhh! i just met jonathan leong!" this week is like jonathan leong week or something. saw him twice in school, strutting around, looking a bit too skinny bahaha. and after not blogging for 7 months, miss lyanna wong revived her blog just to blog about her encounter with him. amazing. champion. she win.

on the topic of champions, i think porks, gun and i have won the title for champions of not going for elang lectures. sigh. peter pantan is just dreadfully boring. and the content is like HUUUH?? it's amazing how he can sound so passionate and earnest about the history of english and yet, it comes out so boring. but he's just so cute. he came into lecture that day (which we amazingly went for but left halfway - hungry laaah! hehh) with his little green, old bagpack slung around his shoulder and in his hand, he carried two little baos! he caught us looking at him and he gave this little boy smile. aiiiyooo so cuuute (cute as in ugly but adorable kinda way haha). i hope he has a happy family and his wife doesn't bully him - he looks so bully-able.

enough talk about him. it's time to listen to all the elang webcasts i've skipped.

Selamat pagi! Saya sedang belajar bahasa indonesia di sekolah dan menarik sekali.
(translation: good morning! i'm learning bahasa indonesia in school and it's very intersting!)

haha yes, school has officially started now that tutorials have kicked in.
if i'm willing to pay someone $20 to bid for my modules, then i'm willing to add in another $80 to get my desired tutorial slots. balloting sucked and sucks and will always suck. the trauma we went through just to get that 10-12 bahasa tutorial.... (which we ended up still not getting)shudders. oh well, anything for that 3day week.

I hereby declare that THIS WILL BE THE LAST ECONS MATERIAL I'LL EVER TOUCH IN MY WHOOOLE ENTIRE LIFE! - written by me on Sunday, October 29, 2006

well, i'm glad that the declaration still holds for this sem. it's just new media, bahasa indo, sociology of family, evaluating health claims and historial variation of english. gosh, they're all so diverse and don't seem to be linked to each other. in any case, i think i'm just gonna end up majoring in new media. back to 4-years-ago plan A which i abandoned in favour of JC.

time for some random photos which i edited instead of listening to elang webcast.

celebrated ly's birthday at teoheng! her birthday kicked start this year's "plan your own birthday" theme. we ran out of fun, explosive and interesting birthday surprises so for this year, the birthday girl gets to choose what she wants to do and we ended up at one of our favourite places: TEO HENG!

Bidding truly sucks.
I think Porks and I changed and came up with enough timetables to last us till our third year. Pffff.
I would loooooooove to pay someone to bid (successfully) + come up with a 3day week timetable for me next sem.

Most probably the last post of the year since I seriously doubt that I'll be blogging tmr heh

It has been a wonderful and brilliant year, what with the 8 months break after the dreadful A's. It was especially a year of first time-s: setting up an online business with the girls, going overseas (Hong Kong and Taiwan) with ly and porks - last year's batam not counted cos it didn't involve an aeroplane haha, spreeing online (this invention rocks, makes buying things from overseas so much cheaper!) working with adorable kids (meeh I miss Noah, Celeste and the twins), relief teaching at Coral Sec, giving tuition, learning how to use the lighter (haha! not really, since I cheated and used the simpler kind), bidding for modules (major PUI!), studying in uni, being horribly sick during an exam (miraculously, I scored an A- for SSA and B for SEA. Thank you God sooooooo much! Truly a miracle) and lastly, going on a holiday with dee!

'Twas a great year indeed.
Here's to a greater year ahead, cheeeeers! =)

4th of Dec marks the weirdest exam experience in my life.
Firstly, I was sick like shit. I think it was a mix of lack of breakfast, my leaky nose, giddiness and the effect of taking medication that made me felt pukish during both papers. So what the hell, I really wrote shit. My head was on the table 3/4 the time and I think I wasted more time wiping my nose than writing. But while "writing", I found myself praying and praying and praying so maybe a miracle might pull through? I really hope so.

Secondly, there was this 45min delay to the start of our SSA paper so instead of having a 2-hour break before our SEA paper, we only had a 1hour break. But for some strange and amazing reason, the school felt that they need to "compensate" the 1 hour they ate up so they allowed the 3 of us to take our SEA paper at a later time. And so began our little adventure. We were chauffeured to the cultural house (which looks nothing like the old nus buildings), had a huge meeting room to ourselves, had lunch served to us for free, had people running around taking tissue paper for us, opening the curtains for us in case it was too dark to us to study, then chauffeured to another venue for us to take our paper privately. It was such a weird experience. In porky's words, if only I wasn't feeling sick, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Heh so this horrible/weird exam experience marks the end of sem1! Wooohoooooooo

Three down, two more papers to go!

Just before our Econs paper, guess what happened?
WETSEAL HAD A SALE!
Woohoooo! A bit of online retail therapy was realllly good.
Until it came to a point where I was a tad stressed about which top to get.
There were so many! And all were going for US$10. So cheap! Compared to F21!

Sigh, choosing really sucks! I finally settled on the first top while Dee and Porks got the last two tops respectively. All so nice! If only I had more money, I would have bought two! Pui, but gotta save money for BATAM!

And for the first time EVER, Dee's going on a holiday with us!
